Solomon Hill, a 6-foot-6 guard from Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, officially decommitted from USC on Tuesday and will sign a letter of intent with Arizona.
Hill, ranked one of the top 50 players in the nation, informed USC assistant coach Bob Cantu of his decision after he was unable to reach USC coach Tim Floyd. Hill originally committed to Arizona but switched to USC after Wildcats coach Lute Olson retired.
He chose Arizona after it hired Xavier coach Sean Miller, who immediately wanted Hill back. Hill's teammate, forward Renardo Sidney, remains committed to USC but cannot sign a letter until he takes the Scholastic Assessment Test.
Hill is the sixth player in the past week who is no longer part of the basketball program.
Guard Daniel Hackett and forward DeMar DeRozan turned pro. Forward Taj Gibson is expected to turn pro but not hire an agent, guard Donte Smith is transferring and center Mamadou Diarra is expected to try and play in France.
